Aviator artist. Made record flights to altitude with a load of 5, 10 and 12 tons (1936). In 1937, together with M. M. Gromov and S. A. Danilin, he made a non-stop flight from Moscow to the North. pole - San Jacinto (USA). Even in the pre-revolutionary period, he attended classes at the Society for the Encouragement of Artists and dreamed of becoming an architect and artist. In the 1930s Yumashev met I.I. Mashkov, P.A. Korin, N.M. Romadin, P.P. Konchalovsky, R.R. Falkom, A.V. Fonvizin, later with V.V. Sterligov. This circle of acquaintances determined Yumashev’s creative destiny. Since 1946 A.B. Yumashev is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. His personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in the 1980s. in Alupka in the Vorontsov Palace, in the museum of the city of Obninsk, in the USA and in Canada (Vancouver). The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the State Central Theater Museum named after. A.A. Bakhrushin, in the Smolensk Art Museum, in the museum of the city of Obninsk and in many other collections and private collections.
