Mother - Anna Yuon, daughter of the famous Swiss composer Paul Huon, niece of the Russian and Soviet artist Konstantin Yuon. Father - Alexander Ergin, staff captain of the Russian Army, was the rector of the Orthodox Church of the Russian cemetery of Sainte-Genevieve des Bois near Paris for 29 years. Gabriel Yuon studied at a school for gifted children in the Louvre as a child, graduated from a Jesuit college, the literary department of the Sorbonne and the Institute of Oriental Languages.
