Mother - Anna Yuon, daughter of the famous Swiss composer Paul Huon, niece of the Russian and Soviet artist Konstantin Yuon. Father - Alexander Ergin, staff captain of the Russian Army, was the rector of the Orthodox Church of the Russian cemetery of Sainte-Genevieve des Bois near Paris for 29 years. Gabriel Yuon studied at a school for gifted children in the Louvre as a child, graduated from a Jesuit college, the literary department of the Sorbonne and the Institute of Oriental Languages. His career in public service was very successful. In 1992, he was awarded the highest order of France "for services to the Republic (blue ribbon).
