Юон К.Ф.

Yuon Konstantin Fedorovich (1875, Moscow - 1958, Moscow).

Full member of the USSR Academy of Arts. People's Artist of the RSFSR. Graduated from MUZHVZ in the workshop of V.A. Serov in 1898. He was a member of the associations “Union of Russian Artists” since 1903, “World of Art”, AHRR (since 1925). Since 1957 - First Secretary of the Board of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1943. He worked a lot as a theater artist, before the revolution he created scenery for performances of S.P.’s enterprise. Diaghilev. In 1944-1947 - Chief Artist of the State Academic Maly Theater. Author of genre and historical compositions, portraits and landscapes. Works by Yuon K.F. Stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and the Moscow Art Theater Museum. A.M. Gorky.
