Zabashta Vasily Ivanovich

People's Artist of Ukraine (since 1999), Honored Artist of Ukraine (since 1979). Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1948). In 1937-39 studied at the Kharkov Art School in 1946-1947. at the Kharkov Art Institute, then continued his studies in 1947-1951. at the Kiev Art Institute. Lived and worked in Kyiv. Since 1949 he took an active part in exhibitions. His compositions reflect Russia and Ukraine of the 19th century.
