Soviet painter, graphic artist, monumentalist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Lived and worked in Leningrad. He studied at the All-Russian Academy of Arts (1936–1947) with I. E. Grabar. The training took place at the Faculty of Painting, and he was awarded the title of artist of monumental painting. During the war, together with Saratov artists (N. A. Arkhangelsky, B. P. Bobrov, P. I. Zorya, A. N. Chechnev, B. V. Milovidov, E. F. Timofeev) he created patriotic posters “Agitokna”. In the post-war years he worked in Leningrad. He completed paintings and panels (“Aviation Festival”, 1947; “At the construction site of the first five-year plan”, 1958–60; “Ski trip”, 1973), easel paintings (“Volga Lights”, 1951; “Leningrad Port”, 1957). He was engaged in easel graphics. F. E. Zaborovsky participated in all-Union, republican and regional exhibitions. He was repeatedly awarded prizes and awards.
