Zakharyan Ruben Agasievich

Soviet painter, member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. After graduating from the institute, he worked as an artist in the Glavnauka Reproduction Workshops in Leningrad, then at the Belgoskino factory. Since 1926, he participated in exhibitions, exhibiting his works along with works of leading masters of fine art in Leningrad. He worked as an artist in the Political Education Center, in the City Committee of Art, fulfilling orders under contracts. Personal exhibitions of works by Ruben Zakharyan took place in Leningrad in the halls of the Leningrad Union of Artists in 1974 and 1983. In 2019, an exhibition of the artist’s works was held in St. Petersburg at the Vernatun cultural center. The works of R. A. Zakharyan are in museums and private collections in Russia, France, Armenia, Germany, Great Britain, the USA, Japan, Italy and other countries.
