She was born on October 29, 1913 in the settlement of Novaya Kalitva, Voronezh region in Russia. She studied at the Tambov Art and Pedagogical College, at the Penza Art College under I. S. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov. In 1939, Zinaida Zatsepina became a student at the Kiev State Art Institute. Her teachers were F. G. Krichevsky, K. D. Trokhimenko, A. A. Shovkunenko, A. I. Fomin. She worked in the field of easel painting. He is the author of portraits, landscapes, still lifes and genre paintings. Exhibitor of city and national, All-Union and foreign art exhibitions. Personal exhibitions were held in India, Kiev and Penza. Z. I. Zatsepina's works are represented in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, in art museums in Odessa, Poltava, Nikolaev, Simferopol, and in private collections.
