Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR. In the early 1900s. studied at the School of Painting and Sculpture of the Caucasian Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Tiflis under N.V. Sklifasovsky, in 1911 he entered the Academy of Arts. Later he studied in Paris (1912-1914). He took part in exhibitions of the associations “Donkey’s Tail”, “Target”, etc. One of the representatives of Russian futurism in Russian art. Personal exhibitions were held in Tiflis (1917), Tbilisi (1962). The artist’s works are in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
