He studied with the artist K.N. Voronov in Samara, visited the studio of E.E. Schrader (1902-1905), the school of S. Holloshi in Munich (1906-1909), the studio of K.E. Kisha in Moscow (1909). Since 1922 participant of exhibitions. Member of the associations "Makovets" (1922-1926), OHR (1927-1930), OMH (1928-1930). From 1915 to 1920 he lived in Tambov, decorating the streets and buildings of the city for the First Anniversary of the Revolution. He taught at the Workers' Faculty of Arts (1923-1930), at the Moscow Art University (1932-1935), at the Moscow Art Institute (1936-1941), at GITIS (1943). Participant in exhibitions since 1922. The artist’s works were exhibited at exhibitions in Amsterdam (1929), New York (1929), Berlin (1930). Zefirov's personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in 1929, 1935, 1961. Works by K.K. Zefirov are in the Tretyakov Gallery, in the museums of Irkutsk, Saratov, Kursk.
