Zykov Anatoly Ivanovich

People's Artist of the RSFSR Full member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Born on May 30, 1930 in Sverdlovsk. Lived and worked in Moscow. Graphic artist, painter. In 1955 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I. E. Repin. He studied with M. A. Taranov, L. F. Ovsyannikov, P. P. Belousov. In 1986 - diploma of the USSR Academy of Arts for illustrations to N. V. Gogol's story "The Overcoat" (1984-1985). PAX silver medal for a series of graphic works about A. S. Pushkin (2000). And for the same series, the Golden Pushkin Medal of Creative Unions of Russia (1999), laureate of the Sholokhov Prize (2008). Among the main works are also: illustrations for "Volokolamsk Highway" by A. Beck (1957), the trilogy "Childhood", "In People", "My Universities" (1973) and "Mother" (1968) by M. Gorky, "The Fate of Man" by M. A. Sholokhov (1966), the trilogy of L. N. Tolstoy "Childhood", "Adolescence", "Youth" (1977-1981); graphic series "Mother" (1967), "On the Volga" (1966), "About France" (1966), a series of graphic sheets "Through the storms of fate. Pushkin" (1987-1995), "Based on Pushkin's lyrics" (1988-1990). Full member of PAX (2007). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1988). Secretary of the Board of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR (1978-1981).
