Vladimir Klimentyevich Zhuk

Soviet artist specializing in landscapes and industrial motifs, member of the Moscow Union of Artists (since 1982), the International Art Foundation and the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. He studied at the art studio at the ZIL Palace of Culture (DC) with the artist A. A. Kulakov, graduated from four-year drawing classes at the V. S. Surikov State Art Institute, completed his studies at the Correspondence National University of Arts (VNUI). Participated in exhibitions: the first solo exhibition was held at the ZIL Recreation Center in 1965.; in 1967, he was sent by the All-Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to the GDR to organize an exhibition in Dresden, where he received a gold medal; in 1969-1970, a personal exhibition was held at the Khudozhestvenny cinema on Arbat; in 1970, he participated in a professional exhibition at the House of Artists on Kuznetsky Bridge; in 1978, a personal exhibition was held at the ZIL Recreation Center; in 1983 In 1995, he participated in an exhibition on BAM; also participated in exhibitions in Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Vietnam and Cuba; in 1995, an exhibition was held in Madrid (Spain); in 1999, a solo exhibition was held in Germany. The artist's works are in museums and art galleries in Russia, and are also represented in private collections in Germany, England, the USA, France, Italy, Holland, Japan, Turkey and other countries; two of his works, one of which is "Electric Car Driver", were included in the book "The History of the Moscow Automobile Plant ...", published by the 50ththe anniversary of ZIL, and paintings based on historical photographs adorn the ZIL factory museum.
