On the 2nd of November 2010 Auction house «SOVCOM» organizes its next auction №116. Among more then 160 lots presented are such works as of West-European masters, as well as graphic and painting samples of the best Russian and Soviet artists of the end of ХIХ–ХХ century. One portrait is unique, created in the quarter end of ХVIII century, representing the future emperor Alexander I in childhood. Brilliant in its execution are theatrical sketches by Alexander Benua and Mstislav Dobuzhinskiy. Adjoining them are works of Yu.A. Annenkov, pencil «Nude» by V.I. Shukhaev and V.V. Lebedev. A significant place within paintings of other genres is taken by landscape studies. These are winter «en plein air» by I.E. Grabar and M.M. Germashev, «Landscape with a road» by S.Yu. Zhukovskiy and «Travellers in the mountains» by I.I. Zankovskiy, «Sea landscape» by G.G. Ryazhskiy and «Village in summer» by H.P. Krymov. The attention of collectors will be drawn towards the rural landscape by L.V. Turzhanskiy and impressionist watercolor work by N.A. Tarkhov. It is desirable to highlight, among presented lots, two works by painting academic G.K. Savitskiy – his painting «Phloxes in a green vase» and etude «Evening on the Volga». The series of still-lives are presented by the names of K.K. Zefirov, G.G. Efros, Ya.D. Romas, A.I. Lyumkis and V.N. Glinka. The big canvas by Yu.I. Pimenov «World creation» demonstrating to the spectator modern Adam and Eve, without a doubt, possesses a big collection and museum value. Also interesting and aesthetically actual is the painting selection of artists actively working today. These are early graphic works of E.I. Chubarov, two metaphor portraits «Ghosts of the past» by Dmitriy Vrubel, diptucon by M.F. Yakhilevich «Neighbors», paintings - «memories of the future» by V. Grig and A.N. Gankevich.
