From October 18th till October 24th held the preauction exhibition «Triumph of socialist realism».

25th February 2008 at 15.00 the «Triumph of socialist realism» auction will pass in «SOVCOM» gallery (Moscow, Schepkina street, 28). Graphic arts, products of recognised Soviet painters, posters, subjects of arts and crafts from bronze, faience and a unique collection of propaganda porcelain will be presented among more than 200 lots. 
The most part of lots of auction are striking samples of the Soviet art among which a canvas «running girls» of A.A. Daineko 1941, being an author's variant of widely known picture «In a lunch break. In Donbass» and «the Girl fastening a tape», what takes parentage from collection of Moscow sculptor V.Gubko, which studio earlier belonged to A.A.Deineko. 
The special place in auction is occupied with the official portraits, which made for capture of leaders of proletariat and the persons managing the Soviet history for descendants. Such works as: «Portrait of Kliment Voroshilov in an office» 1929 of Brodskoy I.I., one of the first artists working over creation of images of leaders, and also «K.E.Voroshilov and A.G.Gorkiy in CDKA shooting gallery» of Svarog (Korochkin) V.S. 1935, are concerning to this works, with minor alterations which repeating canvas with the same name which is in the Central museum of the Soviet Army. 
Official Soviet-era art has sought to capture not only politicians but also the latest achievements of science and technology, as well as the heroes of labor, creating a new life. Among the works that reflect the spirit of the era, will be presented «Soviet air fleet» of A.A. Labasa, «Portrait of a pilot» of A.N. Samokhvalov, «Collective-farm works» and «Traktor driver» of G.G. Nisskiy, «Chelyuskintsy at the block of ice» of F.P. Reshetnikov, «Murmansk. Tulomstroy. Spillway. A general view » of P.P Konchalovsky 1936, exhibited at an exhibition «Industrial socialism» (M.-L., 1939). 

All the auction lots are available to familiarise on the pre-auction exhibition, open from 18 to 24 October, daily from 12.00-18.00.
