On March 19, SOVCOM gallery held an auction of of soviet and contemporary art works in “Katerina-City” hotel (Moscow, Shluzovaya embankment, 6/1).

100 lots were presented on sale including works by the Russian famous artists of the beginning of the XXth century, such a Evgeniy Lancere, Konstantin Yuon, Anna Ostroumova-Lebedeva, paintings by Soviet Art Classics, academicians as Sergey Gerasimov, Boris Ioganson, Grigoriy Nisskiy, Vasiliy Nechitaylo, Grigoriy Tseytlin, Arkady Plastov, KUKRYNIKSes, and also Aleksey and Sergey Tkachyovs brothers, Nickolay and Mikhail Rimadins, Viktor Ivanov, Viktor Tsyplakov.
Among non-conformist artists works of 1960-1980 were Vladimir Yakovlev`s and Anatoliy Zverev`s. On the 19th of March auction there`s introduced a new trend of the gallery work – artworks of the contemporary artists, including German Zavyalov, Valentin Tereschenko, Andrey Lysenko, Viktoriya Teneta, Vladimir Durov, Vadim Sokolov.
Top-lot of the auction is a D. A. Nalbandyan`s work “Sea. Gulls” (canvas, oil paint, 99x143) was sold according to the estimate price. 
A special offer of the March auction were five original illustrations of a famous children`s artists and graphic artist V. G. Suteyev in a S.V. Mikhalkov book “Me and My Friend” (1939) – in a just one lot!
