Presale exhibition auction №115.

Opening a new season, we are glad to offer you works from our gallery as well as numerous Godsends received from private collections. The main themes of this exhibition are Autumn landscapes and still life. The special exposition is dedicated to hunting and embraces both Western and Russian painting of the 19th – 20th centuries. It is represented by such names as A.D. Kivshenko, D.D. Buryuk, O.A. Gofman, Soviet classics G.K. Savitskiy, M.A. Birshtein, S.S. Boim, and our contemporary G.P. Sorokin.

For the first time in the last few decades it becomes possible to evaluate the works by Academician G.K. Savitskiy in all genres — landscapes, still life and genre painting. Last time these works of art were exhibited was at the painter’s personal show in State Russian Museum in 1956. Such paintings as “At the Odessa Port” of 1924, “Yesentuki” of 1930, “Gemma with fowl” of 1946 and “Phloxes in the Green Vase” can be distinguished for the unsurpassed skill of the realist, State Prize Winner, whose works are exhibited in most museums of the Former USSR including State Tretyakov Gallery and State Russian Museum.

Genre, monumental and easel paintings by V.N. Perelman, N.F. Denisovskiy, D.A. Nalbandyana, D.K. Tegina, V.T. Skryabin are announcing the forthcoming auctions where they will be presented.

Moreover, it is necessary to single out landscapes and still life paintings by A.A. Rylov, K.K. Zefirov, Ya.D. Romas, N.A. Tyrsa, A.D. Drevin, N.M. Romadina, P.P. Sokolov-Skal’, P.N. Kylov, Yu.P. Kugach, V.I. Tyulenev, D.D. Zhilinskiy. Close to the exposition there will be exhibited early works by M.G. Abakumov and G.P. Eroshin, two brilliant late painters, whose creations are surely to be estimated by collectors of our generation.

In total there will be exhibited more than a hundred works including graphic arts that will be richly presented in our gallery in September. You may purchase most of them before they are included in the forthcoming auction sections.
