Results of the September 18th 2009 auction.

37 lots from 69 were sold. A benefit auction of rating artists of Russian contextual art took place on September 18 at the Embassy of France in Russia. The auction was held in the context of the benefit project "ART-CONSTRUCTION". It was hosted by the owner of the “Sovcom” art gallery and auction house Yury Mikhaylovich Tyukhtin and famous showman Aleksandr Tsekalo. The charitable auction featured the works of more than 60 famous Russian artists, who consolidated with a purpose of rendering help to children. Among them were Oleg Kulik, Dmitriy Gutov, Igor Makarevich, Andrey Bartenev, Pavel Pepperstein, Konstantin Batynkov, Yuriy Avvakumov, Georgiy Ostretsov, Hermes Zygott and many others. All monies collected from the sales of artworks shall be invested in creation of the “Art center" - art school in the Aleksinskiy orphanage, where the professional teachers shall teach pictorial art and graphic arts, tell the children about the history of art, teach them joinery and woodcarving craft. According to the results of the auction, 37 of 69 lots were sold. The organizers of the auction evaluate the results as successful.
