The exhibition "Brothers Tkachevs and their apprentices" was opened at the 18-th of march.

 

More than thirty years the USSR People's artists, academicians, Tkachevs brothers have been heading the Creative Arts Studio of the Russian Arts Academy. During this period, having preserved the wonderful creative environment, the art studio has become a unique phenomenon of the modern art life. The whole "Pleiad" of the Russian Arts Academy academicians - people's and honored Russian painters, recognized in the Motherland, as well as abroad, received education right here.
The aim of our project is to present the works by these painters together, each of the which has his unique style - i.e. a subtle lyrist Nikolay Zaytsev, a grate portraitist Grigory Chaynickov, a luminiferous painter Elena Tkacheva, one of the most gifted coloursists Pavel Ryabinsky, a virtuoso of picturesque painting Boris Vedernikov, an outstanding landscaper painter Andrey Gerasimov, a "sonorous" and talented master of colors Mikhail Abakumov, deep thinking YuryOrlov. How wonderful are glowing golden interiors created by Nikolay Gorsky-Chernyshev, how subtle is the perception of colors and tones exposed by Ivan Dmitriev and Mikhail Poletaev! And "pearly" winter landscapes by Nickolay Tretyakov, llya Kaverznev, Nikolay Anohin seem like they shine from inside.
The traditions of a historical painting, which were considered in the Emperor Arts Academy as the most high genre, are resumed in paintings by Dmitry Shmarin, Egor Zaytsev, Igor Mashkov, Andrey Smirnov, Dmitry and Elmira Petrovs, Dmitry Beliukin, Andrey Drozdov and Maxim Fayustov. The landscapes of Stanislav Brusilov, Igor Sushenok, Aleksandr Kosnichev are magnificent.
An artistic image, originating from an endlessly charming nature, expressed in terms of realism, shows us that there are values original and pretended, eternal and transient. And the assertion, according to which the art is the key element in the art itself, is still considered as unshakeable.?>
