The exhibition "Painting and Graphics of XX century". October, 23-27.

Dear ladies and gentlemen! An exhibition of pieces of painting and graphic, represented at the auction, which is going to take place on October 27, 2009 in the SOVCOM Auction House at 19.00, is opened since October, 23. Among more than 150 lots, there are works of masters of Russian and Soviet art, encompassing in relation to time period the whole 20th century, and associated with absolutely different schools and trends of visual art. Strings of graphic works are represented by names of S. Weissberg, one of the main caricaturists of “Krokodil” magazine and S. Rusakova, main painter of “Nu pogodi!” cartoon. Strings of Razumovskiy’s and S. Boim’s works are traditional for SOVCOM and popular among collectors. Sketches of female and male heads, created by G. Gorelov and “The portrait of wife” of an Itinerant-painter Vladimir Pchelin, belong to the best pieces of 19th century art. Still-life paintings, created by N. Troshin, F.Angelin, Yu. Sarkisov, are texture and sensitive. Canvases of people’s artists B.Shcherbakov and V.Sidirov stand out from among the landscapes.
